Mary on KWMU

February 16th, 2009

Today Don Marsh interviewed Page Gardner, President of Women’s Voices. Women Vote and John Hickey on KWMU’s St. Louis on the Air. The focus of today’s discussion was about the importance of the participation in the electoral process by unmarried women. I called in as a politically involved, single young woman. I know that we need to get more women interested in policy work and that it’s important for all voices to be heard.

Save Mallinckrodt School

February 16th, 2009

From a neighbor’s email:

Friends and Neighbors,

The St. Louis Public School District (SLPS) is currently reviewing a proposal from its consultant MGT of America recommending the closure of several SLPS facilities. Mallinckrodt ABI Elementary School located at the corner of Pernod and Hampton is included on the list of schools for closure. A group of concerned neighbors has organized to inform the SLPS Special Administrative Board as to the importance of the school to our neighborhood and our desire to keep the property operating as a educational facility. To that end, we are planning a rally in front of Mallinckrodt on Thursday February 19, 2009 at 4:30. Please plan to attend and help preserve this important institution’s place in our community.

Kind words from the St. Louis American

January 29th, 2009

My message of progress for the 23rd ward and St. Louis is being heard.  With so many challenges facing our ward and city as a whole, I’m ready to bring my passion and experience to City Hall and work toward the kind of progress that we all so desperately need and, quite frankly, deserve from our city.  Together we can make a positive impact on the lives of everyone.

Read what the St. Louis American has to say about my campaign and click on the donate tab at the top of this site.

Thanks,

Mary
